People Who Died (Jim Carroll cover) — Ariel Aparicio

Catholic Boys is one of those records for me… It colors my landscape, it shapes my vision, it inspires the work I’ve done for the last 20 yrs and “People Who Died” is THAT song. It’s the song that made me slam dance alone in my bedroom as a kid. It’s's song that told me I need to come to NY.
That’s what it meant to me the first time I heard it. Then, it meant something different in the late 80′s during the height of the AIDS epidemic . Then, it meant something else to me in the 90s during my own personal turmoil.  And  yes, it even meant somrthing different to me on Sept 11, 2001. Today, it means all those things and more… Today THAT song also becomes mine , even though it’s always felt like it was  -
